yesterday (27th august)
then I woke Anna up, she was pretty jetlagged form her 22 hour flight from sweden, I decided we should coure that with some food and beer. Beer contains vitamin B and thats good for your heart, ergo Beer is good for you :)
Anyway we found a liquor shop and bought some beer, alcohol is like three times more expensive back in Sweden than it is over here. Not that it matters since I live on a "all dry campus" which means no alcohol what so evere or you will get a 100 dollar fee for your first "misunderstanding".
But since school havnt started yet we figured the rules didnt apply just yet :P
its kinda far from down town duluth to the campus so we asked a couple for the nearest bus-station. we only got a couple of yards down the road before the man yelled after us:
Where you going to the university?
we: yeah
he: do you want a ride?
we: sure why not. Thinking that he seems like a nice guy.
apparently he didnt got the same first impression caus,
he: you're not murderers are you?
we: no we are not, you can trust us :)
he: and you wont rob us?
I: well,I dont have my big gun with me today, so no, no robberies today :)
we started to talk and they took us for a drive around campus telling us some history about the place, and most important, the showed us the way to the closest liquor store :)
apparently Tim knew one of professors at the business school, but he promised he wouldnt tell on us regarding the beers :P
So thank you Tim and Leslie Churchill for being very nice to us, giving us a ride and for the tour :), My apartment is L405 at the stadium, just come up if you want to get a beer :)

I am glad to have helped you and thank you for the beer list. I hope that your school year goes well and that you enjoy your stay in Duluth and the United States.
In regard to my comments on the street, I usually do not pick up people or ask them if they need a ride somewhere. We figured that you were students and that walking in a new city with a bag of beer was a recipe for disaster. My wife, Leslie, thought that I should not have asked if you murderers or if you if would rob us. If you were actually murderers or robbers, your comment would have been of course "why no...we are not murderers or robbers." And then we would have been in a heap of trouble. So much for the dry wit of Americans!
Maybe it was the look of "where are we?" or the "how do you get a bus" in a city where the bus service is manageable butcan be a pain to travel, we did look at you and decided that you needed a ride and a helping hand. We would hope that if we were in the same position someone would help us.
We do wish you a great school year and will check your blog occasionally.
